Young love

I was asked to make this card by my friend for her fiance. She wasnt sure what she wanted on it then decided to have a pic of them both. As usual I used Bazzill card which I love and backing papers from Summer Driggs. The corner embellishments were cut out on the Cuttlebug and the greeting was done on the computer and glittered around once mat and layered.
Thanks for stopping by today and looking. Although my posts are only short I have managed to be here 3 days running!! At least Im not boring you with long detailed posts!!!

....to watch the wedding with my son today so am posting this early! My daughter isnt the slightest bit interested in seeing it but my son and I will be glued to the tv watching it all, after all its not every year there is a royal wedding this spectacular!!
Todays card is a digi image which I coloured with Promarkers. Backing papers are from Summer Driggs, computer generated name and age and card candy from Craftwork Cards. I chalked the background of the image in pale blue also.
Not a lot else to write about this card I'm afraid, I just love the car image!

I hope you all enjoy watching the wedding if you are, and happy crafting to those of you that arn't and will spend your day in the craft room!!!

Its now come to an end!!!!

Hi all, hope you are well.
Well as you can see the challenge I set myself has come to an end. I lasted 51 days of continuous blogging but this week it has gone to pot!!! I wont say now that I will blog every day but I will try my best to make it every other day in future, providing the crafting continues at a regular pace!
Well today's card has been made as an engagement book. I used Bazzill card in a gorgeous cerise pink and the papers are again from Summer Driggs. After assembling the book and adding the backing papers I glittered with Black Diamond Stickles around the edges. I mat and layered all the pics that were needed and after adding these I finished off with some card candy on the inside pages and some prima flowers and a brad on the front page. I added a ribbon under the Bazzill card so that the book could be held together.
To finish off I made a nice sturdy box to put it in as it was too thick for an envelope!
Please leave any comments as I read them all.
Thanks for stopping by x

Happy Easter....

...to you all. I hope you have had a lovely day and not eaten too many chocs!! I'm also hoping that your eggs looked a bit better than this one which my son received. This was how it was when it came out the box before he even started to break it up!!
Well onto what I have been making today. I have had a very productive day. I have finished 2 birthday cards which are for Wednesday so Im unable to show until then, I've made an Engagement celebration book with a box and I have also made another one of these lovely stepper boxes.  This one I made for my son as a little extra something for Easter.
After making the box I decorated with a Hanglar image of a boy with a skateboard which I coloured with Promarkers to match the backing papers. I then filled the boxes inside with some mini eggs.
An inside view of the box
I added a football embellishment to the top as I thought my son would prefer that to flowers!!! lol

Thank you for stopping by on another lovely day.

Days Out

Hi everyone, hope you are well. Today I want to share with you some of the places we have been during the Easter break as it has taken over the time I normally have for cardmaking!!
Today as it was sunny yet again, we went to Shorne Country Park. We've never been there before so it was a new adventure. There is a large play equipment area, picnic areas, 2 fishing lakes and lots of walks. Before we left my son Connor tried his hand at leap-frogging, which he was really pleased he could do. Here is a mid-air shot!!!
After we left the Country Park we went towards Maidstone and stopped at a bar/restaurant beside the river and had a walk along the riverbank looking at all the boats. There is also a lock operating there but we didnt see it in action today which was a shame as it would have been good for my children to see.
We have also visited Whitstable beach and I had a bingo trip yesterday with my lovely friends. Sophie and Connor also went to Minster beach with their nan and grandad whilst I was working and Connor learnt how to fly a kite. Tomorrow morning, nice and early, Connor and I are going to have a mooch around the local bootfair whilst Sophie has a lie-in!!!
Hope you all have a lovely Easter and make the most of the last few days of sun because apparently its going to change and get a bit colder!!!
Bye for now, please come back soon x

Another Baby!!!

Just a quick posting tonight as Im nearly running out of time!!! I've had a lovely day today with 3 friends of mine, Tina, Clare and Tania. We went to play Bingo at Gala and it was the first time for 2 of them! We actually came away with some winnings too - £15!!! It was a special price of £5 today so after winning we went to a lovely place next door and had lunch which was 2 meals for £10. Bargain day if you ask me!! We sat out in the sun having a good old natter and it was lovely. Cant wait to go again.
Well I've been busy making cards this evening and today's card is another baby girl one. So many babies about at the moment I cant believe it!
This backing paper and topper is from Crafts U Print. Ive mounted it on silver and pink card, added some ribbon coloured with Promarkers and finished off with a greeting and some card candy.
If you would like to see some of the gorgeous downloads available on Crafts U Print, please click on the link to the right hand side of this page.
Thanks for visiting today, please come back soon.

Hanglar & Stanglar Fishing Boy

For this card I thought I'd do something different. I love the square cards I've been making lately but wanted to make something a bit extra for my darling son. I went for a bigger size 8x8. I still used Summer Driggs backing papers but as this was a bigger card I used 2 lots of nestabilities circles and lacy circles. I mounted the image, which I coloured with Promarkers, into the centre of the card and then added some buttons with twine, some card candy and a greeting to finish off. I chalked the background of the image in a pastel blue colour with a dusting of yellow in the left corner to make it look like the sun was shining.
Im hoping Connor will be really pleased with his two cards as they are both things that he enjoys doing when he gets chance.
Please visit again soon, happy crafting x

Hanglar & Stanglar Guitar Boy

Hi everyone, what a lovely day it has been today. After working 2 long days of 13 hrs it was lovely to get out into the sun and spend some time with my 2 children and some lovely friends. We went to Whitstable beach and it was gorgeous. A bit of chatting and a picnic made it a good day.
Anyway today's card is one I have made for my son (from his sister) for his birthday next week. The backing papers are from Summer Driggs which I mounted onto blue card. Once I'd layered them all I edged them with Stickles, added a ribbon coloured with Promarkers and finished off with a greeting and a couple of Nestabilities stars and a gem.
I hope you like this today, I have another one to show you tomorrow.
I'm hoping tomorrow will be just as nice as today as we will be out in the fresh air again catching some more rays!!
Bye for now x

Engagement card

Hi everyone
Today's card has been made for an engagement. I got the image from a disk of suitable wedding/engagement pyramage images. I cut out and layered the pyramage and then mounted onto silver card. I added some white card which I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and then mounted this onto silver card. I finished off with some white Organza ribbon, silver card candy and a greeting printed from the computer.
I have made this card in the past for a Wedding and several of the images I have on the disk are suitable for several occasions. Unfortunately I have had this disk for a while and am unable to remember where it comes from.

Easter Bear

Another card with the gorgeous Easter Bear from TeddyBo.com. Again I have used backing paper from Dovercraft in lovely pastel colours. I've also added some card candy and some Cuttlebug die corners which I coloured to match. The greeting was printed on the computer.
I have been lucky enough to borrow a sewing machine from a good friend of mine to try out some sewing on my cards. Im a little bit nervous about doing this but will be giving it a go later in the week. The cards I have seen on various blogs look lovely when they've been stitched and it just gives them an added dimension.
Happy crafting x

Stepper Box with goodies!!

Hi everyone, hope you have had a nice day and it has been sunny where you are.
Today I have managed to get 2 more cards finished and have made this wonderful stepper box. I was shown one of these yesterday by 2 friends at the crop and couldnt wait to have a go at one today. Surprisingly it only took me 1 1/2 hr to make and it was quite relaxing. I filled this with little mini eggs as its almost Easter but it could be used for any occasion. The flowers on the top are from Wild Orchid but again these could be change to fit in with the person or event. Having it quite neural means it can be left in a room after Easter and used for little trinkets or keepsakes. The next one I do I may add a stamped image of a boy or girl onto the sides. So many ideas and variations to try out!
As the finished article
Wild Orchid flowers and Cuttlebug corner die which I use to look like leaves!
The finished article with mini eggs.
I hope you like this as much as I do. Please visit again soon. I'm going to be back working tomorrow and Tuesday but will attempt to schedule my blog updates so that you miss nothing!!

Easter....

Welcome back to all my lovely followers, thanks for stopping by today.
Well today I have been crafting all day with  many lovely ladies at our regular monthly crop session. In between chatting, drinking tea and sharing ideas (and sharing tools as some people left behind some essential equipment!!! ha ha - our Deputy Leader does make us laugh!) I managed to make/complete 3 cards (which I will be showing you over the next few days).
My first card is made using a digi image from http://www.teddybo.com/. I coloured with Promarkers and mounted on Bazzill card. I added some backing papers from Dovecraft and finished off with some Organza ribbon and a greeting. I thought this teddy was so cute, I just couldn't resist it!
Many thanks for stopping by.

Another new baby

Hi all
This adorable image is from Sugar Nellie and can be used for boy or girl cards. I cut the backing paper into triangles for a change and then after mat and layering the image I mounted it in the centre of the card. I used a sentiment circle from LOTV with was mounted on a nestie. I added corners cut with the Cuttlebug and as usual finished off with a little Stickles!!! The greeting was printed on my computer.
Ive got a lovely crafty day lined up tomorrow with lots of crafty friends and the wonderful Eileen (our dear Leader) so I'm hoping to complete some more cards and get some new ideas in between all the chatting and drinking of tea!!
Hope you are all getting plenty of crafting done cause the weather isn't that brill at the moment to want to get outside is it!
Please come back soon x

(Also had to catch up with tonight's Eastenders!!) This half term lark is making me get a bit behind with cards but will hopefully get these 3 completed tomorrow.  On Saturday we have our monthly crop at Allhallows which I just HAVE to attend because otherwise I will have to answer to our Leader!!!! lmao  She's lovely really so please take a moment to have a look at her gorgeous cards on her blog here.

Less is More....

Another busy day today involving a trip out to the pictures. I took my son to see 'Hop' whilst my daughter went to see 'Rio' with one of her friends. I then managed to start a bit of crafting whilst they all went to the park when we got home!
As I haven't put a card on here for a few days I thought I'd get a quick one made. I've finished my competition one for the crop on Saturday but can't put it on until Saturday as other 'croppers' will see it!!!
This card has been made with a digi from a new site I found. I thought just a little colour on the flower was all that it needed, so red was the chosen colour. After colouring the flower I mounted on red Bazzill card. I added some ribbon which I coloured with Promarkers, some gems and a stamped saying.
Please take a look at the Teddy Bo & Co site where this image is from. They have lots of lovely stamps and there is also a blog which you can follow. Their gallery is not up and running yet but pics of finished cards using their images are on the blog.
Please come back soon, happy crafting x

Easel card with a difference

Hi all, hope you are ok. Its a bit chilly here tonight and really wish I could warm up!
Tonight I thought I would share this lovely easel with you. It would make an ideal gift and Im looking forward to making one hopefully in the next few days. I have been busy making a card today but I'm unable to show it for a few days as it is for a competition at our crop on Saturday!

Please take a look on the Stampartic blog page at this wonderful tutorial and link back to here if you make one also. It would be lovely to see some others on here.
Here is another one that I also found here
Happy crafting, will be back tomorrow x

Crafts U Print Doodles

Hi all, hope you are well. We've had a busy day today so again not had much time to do any cards. Over the last few days I've been doing some colouring tho so tomorrow I'm going to complete some cards. I also have a competition card to do before our Allhallows Crop on Saturday so need to get my head around that!!!
I've been colouring some digi images that I bought from Crafts U Print. As I am a Cardmaker with CUP I was lucky enough to receive a £5 Gift Voucher after the new site was up and running. Have been mulling over what to get and finally decided on some digis. I bought a fireman, nurse, saucy Santa, Santa and reindeer, cheeky Santa, teacher, school pupil and wedding couple. This is what I've managed to prepare so far. (I'm just showing you one of each design but I have coloured more!!)
I'm trying to think up some funny captions to put on the cards so if anyone has any good suggestions please feel free to leave a comment!
Bye for now, see you soon x

Very tired.....

today due to getting up very early to do a bootfair so will make this short and sweet as I'm likely to fall asleep soon!! We got up at the crack of dawn (even before it was light!) and headed out to our local bootfair pitch. It was very busy and loads of people around but unfortunately still came back with a car full. Dad was selling lots of his military gear and I had lots of craft bits. Several stamps and a few punches went but that was about it. Couldn't get rid of my craft holdall (and it wasn't for the want of trying!!). No question about it, I will have to do another one!!!
If anyone is interested in seeing what I have on offer please click through here, If something catches your eye please message me.
Please come back soon, take care x

PS. I have had 3 cards on Ebay this last week and am pleased to say that I have received a bid on one of them! Woohoo so pleased so I am going to try another couple very soon.

New Baby Boy

Well yesterday it was a baby girl card so today as just got to be a baby boy card!
This card was made using a sheet from Crafts U Print. It is a pyramage image so after cutting out I layered up and mounted. I mounted the backing image onto pale blue card and added ribbon on the left hand side. I then mounted this onto navy blue card and used Stickles around the edges. I finished with a greeting of details about weight and date of birth and added some card candy.
This is a lovely greyscale image that can be used for baby boy or girl just by changing the backing paper and embellishment colour. Please take a look on the Crafts U Print website by clicking either on the link above or on the link to the right hand side of my page.
Well I havent managed to do any crafting today as I've been having a sort out ready for a bootfair in the morning. An early night is on the cards for us all. The car is packed to bursting and we are hoping to only return with a few items!!! Lots of craft goodies to get rid of so I hope there are some crafters around that havent gone to Alexander Palace!!!
Bye for now, please come back soon x

New Baby Girl

Hi all. Today I have a new baby card for you to see. I've made cards before using these letters and then cut round them but this time I wanted to mount the name otherwise it would look a bit small. I've used papers from my stash for the letters and used Bazzill card which I embossed with Swiss Dots for the background. Before attaching the letters to the card I tied some organza ribbon around them. Once glued in place I then added some baby shoes and teddy embellishments and finished off with stickles around the edge. 3 pink gems and a ribbon were put across the top of the card and a greeting was printed on the insert.
The photo has made it look worse than it does in reality, it definitely had a sparkle to it!!
Please feel free to leave me any comments, I read them all.
Bye for now x

More goodies!!!

Hi all, hope you are well, enjoying the lovely weather and crafting like mad!!
Just want to show you what my lovely postman bought me this week. I had 2 really really busy days at work, never known a week like it, but came home both days to a crafty package!!
On Monday I had......
14 new Promarkers!!
and on Tuesday I received a storage caddy for the few Stickles that I have!
and this is the view from the top!
It looks lovely sitting on the end of my desk now and its so much easier than rummaging through my craft holdall! I bought these 2 items with some money I had for my birthday last month. The storage caddy was bought from a chap on Ebay. He makes various items including a smaller caddy and also Promarker storage chests and he is very quick with delivery. I bought online Saturday, he posted Monday and Tuesday it was here!! There are a few spaces in the Stickles caddy but no doubt it will soon get filled up!
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, lets hope its here to stay for a little while. I have next week off work so keeping my fingers crossed.
Bye for now, please come back soon x
