Christmas!!!!

I know its early but I did promise myself that I would make at least 2 xmas cards each month so Im not rushing at the last moment in December. To help me with this I decided today to try out some of my new stamps I bought at Farnborough yesterday! These stamps are from Woodware and I think they are so cute. I coloured with Promarkers, added some Glamour Dust and finished with some pink gems in the corners. I have mounted on some pink Bazzill card which I bought yesterday, that was a definite bargain - £1.99 for 10 sheets in a pack or 12 packs for £10!!! Who could resist that. Another bargain I'm not so happy about was the white card I bought for stamping and printing digi images. It was 220gsm and I was told that Promarkers would not bleed around the edges of images. Unfortunately they did, badly, so I stamped all the images again on the original 160gsm card that I use and it was so much better. I have emailed the company saying how disappointed I am as it is not what they said, just waiting to see what kind of response I get.
A close up so you can see the glitter I've added

I'm now back at work this week after having a week off with my children but am looking forward to another 2wks off at the end of the week. No children around next time so once I have got a few essential jobs done I'm going to craft and get sorted some of the ideas I have in my head!
Please leave any comments, I do read them all.

Make It Craft Show

Well what a week we have had. Half term has been wonderful, I had the week off work to do some fun things with Sophie & Connor and have ended by going to the Make It Craft Show at Farnborough. We have done baking, ten pin bowling, watched Big Momma at the pics, bought and built a lego airport, watched Grownups film whilst comfy on our new sofa and been to Chislehurst Caves. I've also managed to have a lovely evening catching up with some good friends and having a few chuckles!!
Well today we had an outing to the Make It Show at Farnborough. It wasn't as windy as last year thank goodness!! Lots of things were thrown my way and it was just too rude to give it all back so I had to put it in a bag and bring it home!! These items included some new card for stamping and printing digi images on and then colouring with Promarkers, 12 packs of Bazzill card, stickles, charms, ribbon, gems, toppers, stamps, tape, flowers, scissors (for work this time!), a craft magazine and a Hougie board!! Now if you are wondering what it all looks like I have put a picture, but please, no dribbling or drooling!!!

Well Im off for tonight to have a lovely sleep and tomorrow we are spending the day relaxing and I may just have to try some stamping!!
Bye for now, happy crafting

In the Kitchen!

Well I've been a bit lapse lately and do apologise for that but I've got lots going on around me at the moment. I spent yesterday with lots of lovely crafty friends at our monthly crop and this helped take my mind off a few things. This following card is using a digi image from Jak Heath. I coloured it with Promarkers and then used chalks to shade the background. I mounted onto black card and added ribbon which I also coloured. I finished off with card candy in the corners. The greeting was put on the card at the beginning but I found this a bit tricky so I need to do a bit more practising!!! This is for a friend's birthday next month but I'm hoping she doesn't see it on here! lol
Looking forward to a lovely week off with my 2 children, lots planned, but will be back posting tomorrow with another card. Bye for now

Good Luck Sylvia, I am following you with pleasure

Joanna Sheen, Wild Orchid Flowers, Help for Katie, Karens Doodles, Sugar Nellies

At last I can let you see what I've been working on. It was my darling mum's birthday Thursday and she had plenty of handmade cards from family and friends. The first one is made with papers from Joanna Sheen's Dancing with Shadows CD. I mat and layered the backing paper and image, added some flowers from Wild Orchid with a Nestabilities die cut, finished off with a greeting, some card candy and some gems. I also made a box and added Nestabilities corners.

The next card is using an image from the Help for Katie collection. I mat & layered the backing paper, added card that I'd embossed with Swiss Dots on the Cuttlebug, used a Martha Stewart punch, added ribbon coloured with Promarkers, some flowers and brads and a greeting.

This next card was made with a Sugar Nellie image which I coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are FREE from Summertime Designs, flowers and buttons from my stash and ribbon coloured with Promarkers. I finished by glittering with Stickles around the edges and added a greeting.
The final card uses papers from HOTP, the image is from Karen's Doodles and it was coloured with Promarkers, ribbon was added after being coloured with PM, stickles added around the edges of the papers and image, card candy, greeting from computer and gems to finalise.
This is a close up so that you can see the glitter around the ages.
I hope you like this selection of pics. Please feel free to leave any comments and pop back soon as I still have more pics to post.

KD Digi, Promarkers, Stickles, Summertime Designs

Good morning everyone, hope your Sunday is looking good. I had a lovely day yesterday with some crafty friends at the Scrapbook Sisters crop in Rainham. They told us it is now the largest crop in the South East and there were about 85 of us there yesterday!!! A photo will be published in a craft magazine soon. A very productive day and very relaxing with plenty of tea and cake for everyone!
I just love this cute little image from Karen's Doodles. It is called Peekaboo Boy. I coloured as usual with my Promarkers and then mounted it on a free background sheet I found at Summertime Designs and navy card. I finished off edging the papers and image card in silver stickles, coloured my ribbon with Promarkers and added a greeting.
Lots more cards to be posted within the next week so please come back soon.
Happy crafting

Promarkers, Kenny K Digi, Summertime Designs

Hi All,
Sorry its been a few days but I've been busy working and I've also had lots of cards to get made with the next few weeks so I've been trying to get them underway. At the moment I'm waiting for my hair dye to take effect so I thought I'd get this post done for you all to see (just hope it doesn't take too long otherwise my hair will be a strange colour!!!!)

I love this card and am so pleased with how it turned out. It is for my godaughter's birthday tomorrow but she has already opened it as I wont see her on her birthday. I have used a digi image from Kenny K and coloured with Promarkers. The wall is a template I bought from a craft show last year and I used chalks to get the right shading. The backing papers are from Summertime Designs. Please take a look at Summer's blog as she has lots of free papers which she is being very generous with and letting us crafters download. There are some gorgeous colours and designs so I will be making regular visits to her blog. After matting and layering the papers and the wall I finished off by printing out some sayings in different fonts and added these to the wall to make it look like graffiti. I also added a greeting at the top of the card with my godaughter's name. Please let me know what you think. Happy crafting. See you again soon
