Here are ....

the latest creations I have made. Things are getting tight now with xmas only 2 wks away and Ive still got loads to make!!
This first card I made this week for my Nan who celebrated her 96th birthday. The image is from Image-nation and I coloured it with Promarkers to match my backing card. I added 2 ribbons which were also coloured the same and finished off with a computer generated greeting and 2 gems.

This second card is one of several I have made the same. I mounted white card which I embossed on the Cuttlebug, used stickles around the edge, cut out a scalloped circle and a plain circle from Nestabilities and I embossed the plain circle. I then added an image which I coloured again with Promarkers but I also added a bit of sparkle on the hat. I finished off with a greeting printed from the computer.

These are some of my finished cards. I still have quite a few to do tho so may be in the quiet corner for a few days!!!

Thanks for taking the time to have a look and please leave any comments.

At last I can show you....

this lovely card I made for my very special friend Tina. It was her birthday on Wednesday 1st December but as the weather was bad I've only just been able to see her. She didnt mind her card being late cause she knew it would be gorgeous as usual!!

The image is a Sugar & Spice digi download from Charmed Cards & Crafts website coloured with Promarkers. Paper is from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I mat and layered the image and papers and then added stickles around the edges.
The insert was done with matching papers and again glittered. I added 2 special verses which really sum up our lovely friendship. A box was also made as the flowers made it a bit too bulky for an envelope.

I have also been busy in this snowy weather trying to get xmas cards completed. I had a little production line going as I was embossing on the Cuttlebug and cutting circles and scallops and colouring digi images. Will post the results this week. Im working for the next 2 days so will post after that.

Please leave any comments and thanks for visiting my blog.

Lots made....

....over the last week considering its not been a good week. Unfortunately my son has been sick from school for 4 days so my time has been spent with him. The cards Ive managed to make are:-

I made this card previously as a Christmas one but this time I've adapted it for an anniversary. The pic is from Debbie Moore's Glitter and Glitz CD. Ive added a ribbon coloured pale blue with Promarkers and put stickles around the outline. I finished with some Glamour Dust on the dress to add more sparkle.
This next card is fairly quick to do. I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots on white card then cut into 3. I glittered with stickles around the edges to make it stand out a little bit. I added a scalloped circle in red and a white circle embossed again with dots then placed a Santa digi coloured with Promarkers. The ribbon was coloured and a greeting added to finish. There's some sparkle also added to Santa's hat!
This card is similar to the above but I used green ribbon and green stickles and the backing card was cut into 4.
This card is along a similar line but I used a snowflake embossing board for the background and Swiss Dots for the circle. I edged the backing in silver stickles.
This card is by far my favourite from the last week. The backing paper is Kay & Co. The image is one of Mo's Digital, coloured with Promarkers, flowers are from my stash and Ive used card candy in the centres. I stamped the numbers onto some of the spare backing paper, mounted onto brown card and cut out and then edged in gold stickles. I also edged the whole card and the image in gold.

I am in the process of another gorgeous card for a very special friend of mine on her birthday this week but I wont be able to post until after Wednesday!!! Cant wait for her to see it.

Thanks for looking, sorry there are so many pics but hope you are still awake!!!

Happy crafting, please comment if you feel you need to!!

the latest....

...cards I've done.
This first one I couldn't post last week as it was my competition entry at the local crop we went to Saturday and it was hush hush!! The topic this month was button and bows. I used a LOTV xmas stamp coloured with promarkers and then used various buttons and ribbon from my stash. Unfortunately it wasnt the winning one but it was the taking part that counts. Next month it needs to be a nursery rhyme so the thinking cap is on!!!

These next 2 cards I made whilst at the crop. I used a crealies template which can be found here My friend Eileen got me started on these and now Im getting carried away! The images are digis from Kenny K coloured with Promarkers. The snowflakes are punched using a free punch from this month's Papercraft Inspirations magazine.

These last card is a LOTV stamp. I coloured it with Promarkers and added some glitter to finish. I used some papers from my stash with a Craftwork Cards patchwork template which I bought at the Alexander Palace Stamp Show.

Thank you for looking and please make any comments you wish to.

I won!!!

Just a quick note before I go and attempt to make some cards today. I won the Remembrance Day card craft event on Facebook this week!! Never won anything like that before so really pleased. It was the poppy card that I made last week at Eileen's. Weather is wet here so staying in to craft. Will be back later xx

Christmas...

Finally, the second card I made whilst crafting with Eileen on Thursday. The template used is for a circular card but I decided to put this on a square one and add some little extras!! The image is from Kenny K, the flowers are from Wild Orchid and the fancy papers are from Docrafts. Once I'd layered all the circular sections I used my Stickles to give a bit of bling around the edges.
Hope you like this, I think I need to make another one now!

Remembering..

This is the card I managed to make today whilst having a crafty day with Eileen. We always do too much talking and drinking of tea and dont have much to show but we do have a thoroughly good time. Eileen is such a darling that she even got in some gluten free goodies today which I could eat whilst I crafted!!!! Very much appreciated Eileen and a lovely gesture.
Remembering.....

The image is from Just Inklined and I coloured in using my Promarkers. The backing paper is from my stash, white organza ribbon coloured with Promarkers and card candy.
Thanks for stopping by. I have another card half made so will get that on here in the next couple of days.
Bye for now

Giveaway....

Please take a look at the Going Buggy  blog. They are giving away a FULL SET of Promarkers. Register and link to your blog for a chance to win.

Cant stop.....

...doing all the sorting out at the mo!! Have had another day of trying to organise craft stuff and have been really ruthless and cleared loads of bits that I no longer use. I've kept hold of it each time thinking I will use it but still havent. I posted lots of pics in my Facebook album tonight and 90% of it looks like selling, just waiting on confirmation at this moment.
Tomorrow I'm going to make up for it tho as Im having another day with Eileen or 'The Missus' as she is known to Daisy. Please take a look at Daisy's blog if you havent done so already. She really gets up to mischief sometimes and the pics that OTL (Old Two Legs) takes of her are just great! Daisy tends to steer clear of us whilst we craft, probably afraid of getting covered in glitter or stuck to something!!! Anyway hopefully a card to post tomoro if things go to plan so please come back and have a peek!!
Bye for now, happy crafting.

Blog Candy

Please take a look at this wonderful blog candy that Jak Heath is giving away. 4 gorgeous stamps (this one on the left is included). Her cards are lovely and it is a blog that is definitely worth following. Leave a comment on her blog and link it to your blog for a chance of winning.

Couldn't resist....

posting this card tonight, didnt want to wait til tomorrow. It is still drying but just wanted you all to see it as I love it. I have used Papermania backing papers, Bodacious Bev digi stamp from Kenny K, which I added a xmas hat to from their accessories set, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, snowflakes and scroll cut from Cuttlebug die, ribbon coloured with Promarkers and some Glamour Dust.

Here's 2....

...of the latest cards I've managed to get done. The images are from Debbie Moore's Art Deco Majestic CD along with the backing paper. I added gold stickles onto the red card and ribbon coloured with Promarkers and on the blue card I used my Glue Pen to add Glamour Dust as this gave a bit of a shine and you could still see the blue line through the glitter. I added white ribbon to finish but thinking about it afterwards I may just colour this light blue with Promarkers! I've had lots on over the last couple of weeks so cardmaking has not always been possible.
I spent a lovely day yesterday with a good crafty friend of mine Eileen. Lots of chatting and cups of coffee consumed whilst I was preparing to assemble a card!   Eileen insisted I show her how to download a digital stamp from Kenny K after she bought one and then she found lots of flowers she liked on Wild Orchid Crafts so I think she ended up spending her CUP commission for last month!!! She was also preparing a tutorial about brayering for her blog so please pop over and take a look. Her work is lovely.
Im in the process of finishing off the card I was assembling so will post tomorrow all being well.
Thank you for stopping by today, please leave any comments.

OMG!!! :) :)

.....what am I like, left it a few days yet again! Lots been happening this wk with half term so not had any time to craft. Wednesday was spent covering the whole of my lounge with the contents of cupboards and drawers whilst I sorted all my craft stuff. Had a good turn out and now I can see that I do have carpet reaching up to the furniture!!! Thursday was spent with another trip to London. This time we went to Ripley's Amazing But True place at Piccadilly Circus. There are some really strange people around that obviously have too much time on their hands and think up all these weird and strange feats to do! After a lovely dinner my daughter and I parted from Connor and mum (they caught the train home) and we went to the theatre to see Flashdance the Musical which was a birthday prize from Heart London. We had front seats of the Royal Circle so had a brilliant view of the stage. A show which we would definitely recommend if you were thinking of seeing it!!

Well today was just finished on an even higher note. We now have another show to look forward to next yr which we are all sooooooooo excited about. Any guesses what it might be anyone?????

Wow music!!!!

Well I was having a bit of a nosey through lots and lots of blogs tonight when I found this music widget....just had to have it.....have spent ages adding songs and now thats it!! Please let me know what you think about having music playing whilst reading up on what I've been doing. Is it off putting, or is it ok? I found it nice to have my blog open with music playing on one tab whilst reading other blogs through another tab. I do like my music but cant often get to listen to what I want to as my children play the music channels and listen to their choices (not all bad I must admit and they do catch on quickly to my kind of tunes!!!). Will post some cards tomoro, fingers crossed.
Happy crafting, thanks for visiting

Thursday 21 October 2010

Sorry its been a few days, lots of things cropped up and everything went belly-up!! Also i think the printer fairies have been in whilst ive been sleeping as my ink decided to run out when I was printing out some pieces in preparation for Christmas cards so hence another unplanned trip to the shops for new cartridges!
This first card was made for a friend of mine who has a really bad crush on Rosie Webster from Coronation Street. It is his birthday today so hopefully when he gets in from work this should make him smile! I made the backing papers in PSP8 and also the pyramage which I then mounted onto brown and black card. I finished off with a greeting and some card candy.

This card was made using an image from the Debbie Moore Penguin Fun CD which I bought at Biggin Hill last Sunday. It is an easel card. I printed off some backing paper from the disk and then mounted the picture. I glittered with stickles around the black border and then used gold stickles for the dots on the scarf and also edged the snow and tree in white to add a bit of bling! The bottom part of the card with the greeting was mounted with foam pads as a resting part for the picture part.

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment x

Us crafters waste nothing!!!!

First of all I would like to thank my crafty friend Eileen. At a recent crop she was doing her usual brayering and stamping and decided that this pic was not good enough to use for what she wanted (she didnt like the spider!). The pic was going to be heading for the bin but I was cheeky and asked if I could have it to use. The credit goes entirely to Eileen for a wonderful pic, I just layered it onto some orange and black card and finished with a ribbon. I will be giving this to my neighbour as a birthday card as its her birthday the day before Halloween.
Please take a look at Eileen's blog http://eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.com as she does some lovely pieces of work.
This next card is one of 2 I managed to make at our crop today (inbetween chatting and laughing!!!). The image is a digi stamp from Kenny K. I coloured it with Promarkers and then cut out. I then mounted it on 2 oval nestabities. I added some gorgeous flowers which I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts (http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com), ribbon coloured with Promarkers and gems from my stash. I added some Stickles around the edge of the oblong blue layer and some dots on the scalloped parts of the ovals.
Thank you for coming and looking today. Please leave any comments you wish to make.

So pleased with......

....what I managed to get done today. 3 essential cards finished and that now means Im able to start my Christmas cards.
This first card was needed for a Crystal Palace football fan who will be 80. I made the backing paper and then mat and layered it along with pics of the Crystal Palace ground and players. Finished this off with a greeting and card candy.

This next card is of the Chryslar Tower in New York. I made the backing paper in Paint Shop Pro 8 and also made the pyramage image. I layered these on blue and silver card but have left the rest blank.

This final card is going to be sent to a DoCrafts Member for her grandaughter's birthday. She wanted to surprise her by receiving cards from other crafters. The lady sent me a photo and I made backing paper and a pyramage image. I added a flower and brad and a greeting to finish off. I hope she will be pleased with the finished article. A few little crafty bits will also be included for her.
I've got some lovely digi Christmas images from Kenny K and cant wait to start using them so please come back and look in the next few days.
Thanks for dropping by, any comments will be most welcome. If you leave a comment I will also visit your blog and return the favour.

Anniversary wishes....

Mum and Dad. This card is for a lovely friend of mine. The image is from http://www.karensdoodles.com and coloured with Promarkers, with papers used from my stash (I have so many I have accumulated that Im trying to get them used up!!). After mounting the papers I edged them with gold Stickles. I finished off with some flowers and brads and the greeting I printed on my PC. For once this came together quite easily as the papers came from a set and went together well.

Thanks for stopping by. I have been busy working for the last 3 days and busy it certainly has been. I now have 4 days off so will be able to get some more cards sorted and Im hoping to get started on some Christmas cards!!!! Please stop by again soon to see how I am progressing.

80th Birthday

These 2 cards are for a lady on her 80th birthday. I wanted to do 2 different designs so this is what I came up with. This first image is from http://www.imag-e-nation.com/categories/Digital-Stamp-Downloads/Just-Inklined-Digital-Stamps and is coloured with Promarkers. I have matted it with pink and silver card and then mounted onto patterned background paper from HOTP. I edged this paper with silver Stickles for a bit of sparkle and finished off with greetings printed from the computer and ribbon which I coloured with Promarkers.

The second card I also used a digi image but cant remember where I got it from!! I cut it out and layered on Nestabilities Oval and then onto Oval Scalloped and mounted it onto paper from HOTP. I finished off again with card candy, Prima flowers, leaves which I made using the Cuttlebug and ribbon which again was coloured with Promarkers.

Thank you for looking again, happy crafting.
