Football easel card

Hi all
This card is a similar design to one I've done previously. It's a triple easel card and so easy to do.
I made the 3 easel cards using 3 different sized Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. I then cut 3 circles from the plain circle Nesties. The football emblem is of our local team, Gillingham and the football was found on Google images. I finished off using die cut letters and numbers and a button with ribbon. Some glitter was added around the football emblem as I really cannot do without any glitter as you will know from previous posts!!!
This card went down very well with its recipient!!
Please visit again soon.

2013 Calendar

Hi all
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and received lots of lovely goodies from Santa!
Unfortunately I have to go to work later today so thought I would do a quick post before I go of an item I made before Christmas. I havent been able to post lately as everything I was making was either special cards or gifts! I will get some posts scheduled over the next few days so you can see that I havent been sitting around doing nothing!!
This item is a calendar I made using stamps from Dimension Stamps. It did take a while to do as I wanted to put the days on as well as the date but you can make these in whichever design you want.
For the front cover I used a Memory Box corner die and the numbers from Dimension Stamps. As usual I glittered around the edges of the numbers.

For each page I mounted the corners using 3d pads and again glittered around the month and the edge of the dates. The pics were all coloured in using Promarkers. Because the 3d pads made the finished article quite large I used ribbon to hold it all together but you can use book rings or even binders.
I hope you like this idea, please visit again to see other goodies I've been making.

Advent calendar

Good evening everyone, hope you are all well.
I have been very busy lately with lots of crafty xmas presents etc. Some I will be able to post here but others will have to wait until after the fat man has been!!!
Today I have decided to show the advent calendar I have made my 2 children. I wanted to make them 1 each but just ran out of time so luckily the drawers are big enough for 2 goodies so they are sharing!!

Front view
Side view
Finished item with lovely goodies!!
I made all the individual boxes and once stuck together I then decorated the sides with patterned paper which I think is from a 'Me to You' Papermania pack. I added some images which I coloured with Promarkers and glittered up. Peel offs were added to the boxes along with brads and I finished off by making an easel card to sit on the top. I used a LOTV topper for this card, a memory box snowflake corner and some snowflakes. More glitter was added!!
Sorry for the delay in adding pics lately but for some reason my pics arn't transferring from my IPhone and then I cant upload pics using Internet Explorer. Been a bit of a nightmare!
Hope you like this post and will come back again soon.

Miniature Sweet Pots

Hi all, hope you are well.
Today I am posting something different I have tried. I have been decorating some small jars which I have then put some chocolate buttons in. Thought these would make ideal small gifts. 3 of the jars I wrapped with paper, added some flowers and brads and some card candy and finished off with some Stickles glitter. I then added flowers to the lid. The last jar I 'blinged' up a bit with gems and again added gems to the lid.

Please feel free to leave any comments and let me know what you think of these.

First attempt!!

Good evening ladies.
A quick post tonight as I didnt want to leave it so long again before updating.
Today I have had a go at brayering. Some of the cards I see look so wonderful and I want to give them a go but before going out and buying all the 'stuff' I had a borrow from my darling mum to see how I got on. I was the first one to use her 'splodge mat' and have now put one on my Christmas list!!
I have a few lines showing on here but have worked out where I went wrong. It still looks ok though and with a bit of liquid pearls, some glamour dust and then stickles round the edge it came together quite well.
This is a close up so you can see the liquid pearls and glamour dust.
I've also been making some Thanksgiving cards which I did some brayering on and will show those once they are completed.
Please feel free to leave any comments or handy hints for future work.

Happy Birthday Sophie xx

Hi all, hope you are well.
Today it is my darling daughter's 16th Birthday. She is such a special person to me and has been through so much over the last 16 yrs but we have helped each other through all the bad times and have also had lots of wonderful times. She is exactly 16yrs old now as I write this post as she was born at 10.20am (by caesarean section) and weighed a lovely 6lb 2oz.  She really is a lovely young lady and has her head screwed on the right way with lots of hopes and dreams ahead of her. She is in her final yr at school and would like to become a midwife so she is planning on going to college and then on to university in the hope of fulfilling her dreams.
Anyway now that her birthday is here I can blog the lovely card I made her.  I saw the idea on Julie's site here.
I cut the card out using the largest scalloped heart Spellbinder die that I had and then cut the patterned paper using the largest circle die.  The image is from Saturated Canary (its part of an image which I enlarged). Cant remember where the papers are from as I have so many that I'm trying to use at the moment!! The butterfly is from a Cheery Lynn die set of 3 which I coloured with Promarkers and then added some glitter to and the letters are made from die cuts (can't remember the make at the mo) which I borrowed from my dear friend Eileen (whose blog can be found here). I finished off with a little heart button at the front.
This is a front view of the card...
..and this is a view of it flat ready to go in an envelope. I was able to use a DL envelope.

Though I would finish off with a couple of photos of the birthday girl. We went out for a meal last night and she was surprised with a chocolate cake!!

This is Sophie and one of her best friends Sarah (Sez).

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back soon with some more of these easel cards which I'm hoping to make for Christmas!!

Happy crafting.

Altered Art Dictionary

Hi everyone, hope you are well.
I've been trying something a little different lately after a little nudge from a dear friend of mine. Instead of reading a book that everyone is raving about at the mo I chose a dictionary!!!  I picked a word on a page and then decorated on the page accordingly. Im a bit dubious about stamping but things went fine and here are a couple of my first attempts. The idea is decorate the page however you want and just circle the word that has given you inspiration.
This is 'Sunflower'....
....and this one is 'Rain'.
Please take a look at Eileen's blog where she also has some dictionary art and more information about a page she has set up on Facebook. Please come and join us here and show us some of your work.

If you'd like to leave any comments please do as I read them all.

Butterfly toppers

Hi all, hope you are well.
Today's post is to show you some more toppers that I have been busy making. Just love doing these all at the mo and cant wait to get some on Ebay!!
To make these I used a Cheery Lynn Designs set of butterflies. There are 3 in a set. Once stuck to the cocktail stick I added some liquid pearls to the body and antennae.
I love these and will be doing a variety of colours.

Happy crafting, please come back soon.

Cupcake Toppers

Hi all, hope you are well on this horrible damp morning.
Today's post is to show you some new items I have made. As everyone is into cupcakes at the mo, and we enjoy them also, I thought I would make some toppers.
I printed the pics, after resizing into a circle the same size as one of my nesties, and cut them out. I then mounted them onto a scalloped circle. On one side I added a cocktail stick before the picture and these are the finished articles. Any pic is possible and I have also done some of my daughter Sophie with Joey Essex who she met a couple of months ago. They can be made for absolutely any occasion.
Please leave any comments as I read them all and please check back soon to see further ideas.
This girl with balloons is a Saturated Canary digi which I coloured in, took a pic of then resized.
This fireman with a cat is a Crafts U Print digi design which again was coloured and then resized after taking a photo.
These slogans were done on Word Art and the colour was changed. They could be done in any colour.
This is my darling daughter Sophie with Joey Essex. She loved these toppers when she saw them!!
Happy crafting everyone.

Bit of experimenting!!!

Hi everyone, hope you are well. Left it too long again and have so much I've been doing just never had time to sit and blog. Think I may have to set some time aside and write a few posts and schedule them!!!Today's post is to show you some flowers I have made today using a die I bought at Oyster Stamps today. The lady who served me was very helpful in showing some flowers she had made and giving me tips to do them. Really its just a case of experimenting until you are happy with the finished product.
(Sorry the pics are sideways, they were the right way on my pc but I'm still getting use to taking pics with Iphone and them being automatically loaded onto pc!)
This is the die I used. There is a small and a large one in the packet.....
These are the punched out shapes.....
...and this is the finished result. The top one is my second attempt which I think I used a few more layers on than my first but still quite pleased with the finished article. Now just need to make a card for it using another die I have and then......need to make a box!!!

Please feel free to leave any comments and I promise to be back soon with another new idea I've been trying.
