First effort with Pans Pastels

Hi all, hope you are well.
On Thursday I had a crafty day with my lovely mum and she showed me how to use Pans Pastels. I missed a class with the dear Eileen at Allhallows last week as I was suffering with an awful cough and cold and didnt want to spread my germs. As I would like to buy some PP with my birthday money I needed to have a go first. We did very well and tried a variety of techniques.
Colouring card and stamping then adding image on top of stamped image
Stamped image and added onto coloured card
Used a brass stencil for this flower image after colouring card
Coloured 3 separate circles and then stamped image on top
Coloured card, made sun, used mask for boy image and finished by stamping birds
Coloured card, stamped flowers and saying and finished off with white gel pen.
All pictures were mounted and then I added Stickles around the edges to finish off.

I'm looking forward to taking part in Eileen's class in May and will hopefully have some of my own Pans Pastels before then!!

Please come back and visit soon, happy crafting x

More La Pasche...

Hello everyone, hope you are well.
After a fun filled day the other day with Eileen I now have some more finished cards from the La Pasche disk. Eileen was so impressed with the pics that she has now ordered them also, hence I got the blame for her spending money yet again when I visited. The fact that I've signed up to one of her amazing workshops also is neither here nor there!!! lol
Teenager bedroom
Female gardener
Blue Teddy
Couple in bath

Once I'd cut, layered and mounted the pic I finished off with matching Stickles around the edges. It just gives it a little extra and makes it look nicer (or so I think lol.

More pics to come tomorrow as I just cant stop making these at the mo. I have a few orders to get done at the mo so will have to have a bit of a change for a while.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and happy crafting.

Bulldozer, Electrician & Bookworm

Hi all
I've had a couple of productive days so far using my new decoupage disc from La Pasche and will be having a day in today in the warm doing more crafting. I should have been going to our monthly crop today with the other crafty ladies at Allhallows Village Hall but due to not knowing what the weather is doing it has been cancelled :( .
The first 3 cards I've made include a Builder/digger driver
 an Electrician
and one suitable for a Bookworm!!
These cards come on a page with the backing papers and the greeting so its just a case of cutting it all out, finding a matching background card and making up the decouage. As usual I've finished off with stickles around the edges to give it a bit of bling.

I hope you like these. I will be posting more in the next few days including some I've made from the Making Cards magazine. I've made a New Year's Resolution to use up free papers from the magazines as its not always what I like that sells, sometimes you just need to make something different to catch the eye of people.
Anyway, bye for now everyone.
Happy crafting

Butterflies!!!

Hi all, Happy Easter. Hope you have had a lovely day and not eaten too much chocolate.  I've had a lovely day with Sophie & Connor and my darling boyfriend Kevin. We went to the pics to watch Titanic 3d and I must say it was brill and yes, I did cry again!!!! lol
Anyway, today's card I'm posting has been made after seeing the idea in a craft magazine. Its a very handy way of using up scraps of card. I visited Oyster Stamps last week and managed to find a die of 4 small butterflies. I used just 2 of them for this card and after cutting them I folded in the centre and slightly shaped their wings before mounting with silicone glue. I also added some dots which I punched using a circular hand punch, another thing I've had in the draw for ages and never seem to use much!  Once these were all dry I added some stickles to the butterflies.  The greeting was printed on the card in multicolour print before I started. This card can be used for most occasions and so far I've done an anniversary card and this thank you card.
Please visit again soon as I've got a week off work so in between entertaining my 2 children I'm hoping to make some more cards!!
Bye for now, happy crafting

Kenny K Golfer

Hi all, Happy New Year to you all.  Sorry for the delay but I've been busy being creative!! Today I'm posting the first card I made in 2012.
I've used a golfer image from Kenny K and coloured with Promarkers. As usual I mat and layered using papers from my stash. I added organza ribbon and a 'Just for You' charm and finished off with some Stickles. (I do like my glitter!!)
I also decorated the inside of the card to match the front.

When colouring the image I also used some Polychromos pencils which I was very lucky to receive for xmas. I need to practice a little with these but will hopefully get the hang of them after a few more tries!
Here are some other craft goodies which Santa bought me.....
.....and these are some items I bought with some xmas money. Now I've got so many bits to experiment with I need to get ahead and make some cards lol.
Anyway thanks for dropping by today, please come back tomorrow to see the next card. (I'm writing the post now and scheduling it for tomorrow so it will definitely be here!!)

Hanglar boy and girl

Today's card is the one I made for my mum from Sophie and Connor for Mother's Day. I thought the images were so cute and it looked like they were holding their arms open to show how much they love her.
I used some backing paper from Summer Driggs and mounted this on pink Bazzill card. I cut out the octagon shapes using Nestabilities. I coloured the images and then cut these out and after using Stickles around the white octagons and the backing paper, I mounted the images. I added a 'Nan' and a 'We Love You This Much' greeting printed from the computer, and also glittered, and finished off with card candy.
I decorated the inside of the card to match.
Thanks for visiting, see you again soon x

Joanna Sheen, Wild Orchid Flowers, Help for Katie, Karens Doodles, Sugar Nellies

At last I can let you see what I've been working on. It was my darling mum's birthday Thursday and she had plenty of handmade cards from family and friends. The first one is made with papers from Joanna Sheen's Dancing with Shadows CD. I mat and layered the backing paper and image, added some flowers from Wild Orchid with a Nestabilities die cut, finished off with a greeting, some card candy and some gems. I also made a box and added Nestabilities corners.

The next card is using an image from the Help for Katie collection. I mat & layered the backing paper, added card that I'd embossed with Swiss Dots on the Cuttlebug, used a Martha Stewart punch, added ribbon coloured with Promarkers, some flowers and brads and a greeting.

This next card was made with a Sugar Nellie image which I coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are FREE from Summertime Designs, flowers and buttons from my stash and ribbon coloured with Promarkers. I finished by glittering with Stickles around the edges and added a greeting.
The final card uses papers from HOTP, the image is from Karen's Doodles and it was coloured with Promarkers, ribbon was added after being coloured with PM, stickles added around the edges of the papers and image, card candy, greeting from computer and gems to finalise.
This is a close up so that you can see the glitter around the ages.
I hope you like this selection of pics. Please feel free to leave any comments and pop back soon as I still have more pics to post.

KD Digi, Promarkers, Stickles, Summertime Designs

Good morning everyone, hope your Sunday is looking good. I had a lovely day yesterday with some crafty friends at the Scrapbook Sisters crop in Rainham. They told us it is now the largest crop in the South East and there were about 85 of us there yesterday!!! A photo will be published in a craft magazine soon. A very productive day and very relaxing with plenty of tea and cake for everyone!
I just love this cute little image from Karen's Doodles. It is called Peekaboo Boy. I coloured as usual with my Promarkers and then mounted it on a free background sheet I found at Summertime Designs and navy card. I finished off edging the papers and image card in silver stickles, coloured my ribbon with Promarkers and added a greeting.
Lots more cards to be posted within the next week so please come back soon.
Happy crafting

Tinkerbell

Well today has been busy, and still is, so just a quick post Im afraid.  Had a lovely morning at Bluewater doing a bit of retail therapy so not had chance to craft today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!!My card today is a Tinkerbell one for my friend's daughter. I made the backing paper in Paint Shop Pro 8 and printed off a pic to use as a topper. I glittered the wings on the topper and mat and layered it. I mat and layered the backing paper on a gatefold card, used stickles around the edges and then stuck the topper and the greeting on.
Back tomorrow I hope with a longer post and another card.
Bye for now

Crop competition

Last Saturday was our monthly crop at Allhallows. Every month we have a competition and whoever wins gets free entry to the next crop they attend. This month the subject was to make a Valentine card but NOT to have the colour red on it. There were lots of lovely cards and this is my entry. Unfortunately it wasn't the winning one but I will try again next month.
The image is from Kenny K and I coloured it with Promarkers and then mounted onto a nesties frame. The heart backing papers were from my stash. I think they were originally from a QVC pack. I layered these all onto pink card and then used stickles around the edge. I finished off with card candy and a greeting printed from the computer which i also mounted onto a smaller nestie frame.

Im trying to blog on a daily basis (apart from 2 days when I work and just dont get time) so please pop back tomorrow for another card.

I have a poorly son today so will be indoors all day. Hopefully he will sleep for a while and I've got a few cards to make so will try to get them done.

Bye for now, happy crafting

This first card today was for my friend's birthday last week. She is a big fan of Frank Lampard and Gerard Butler so I wanted to combine the two. I found these pics and then used Paintshop Pro to make the backing paper. I mat and layered onto a peach card, glittered with stickles around the edges and finished off with a computer generated greeting and card candy.

This next card is for a 14th Birthday. Butterflies was all I had as a theme so as its for a girl pink was my first choice!! This digi stamp is from Whimsy Stamps. I coloured it with Promarkers and then added some stickles along the lines of the wings. I cut both butterflies out and mounted with silicone glue onto paper from my stash. This paper was from Making Cards magazine. I used stickles to glitter around the edges and finished off with ribbon, which I'd coloured with Promarkers, and a computer generated greeting.

I hope you like these and look forward to any comments. I will be back to post another card tomorrow.

Bye for now

Crop time!

Well today has been a day of sitting crafting with the only interruptions being for a cuppa or the loo!!!! There were quite a few ladies today all having fun and a good old chat as its the first time we've met since Christmas. Our last crop was cut short because of the awful white stuff falling but today we had no problems.

The first card I made is a New Home one. I haven't made one of these for ages and the image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. I coloured it in with Promarkers and mat and layered using papers from my stash. I think the papers originally came from Making Cards magazine. I finished with stickles glitter around the edges and some flowers and brads. The greeting was printed on the computer.

I will post another card tomoro as I want to get into a regular habit of blogging. Please come back and take a look and if you wish to leave any comments.

Happy crafting

Here are ....

the latest creations I have made. Things are getting tight now with xmas only 2 wks away and Ive still got loads to make!!
This first card I made this week for my Nan who celebrated her 96th birthday. The image is from Image-nation and I coloured it with Promarkers to match my backing card. I added 2 ribbons which were also coloured the same and finished off with a computer generated greeting and 2 gems.

This second card is one of several I have made the same. I mounted white card which I embossed on the Cuttlebug, used stickles around the edge, cut out a scalloped circle and a plain circle from Nestabilities and I embossed the plain circle. I then added an image which I coloured again with Promarkers but I also added a bit of sparkle on the hat. I finished off with a greeting printed from the computer.

These are some of my finished cards. I still have quite a few to do tho so may be in the quiet corner for a few days!!!

Thanks for taking the time to have a look and please leave any comments.
