Altered Art Dictionary

Hi everyone, hope you are well.
I've been trying something a little different lately after a little nudge from a dear friend of mine. Instead of reading a book that everyone is raving about at the mo I chose a dictionary!!!  I picked a word on a page and then decorated on the page accordingly. Im a bit dubious about stamping but things went fine and here are a couple of my first attempts. The idea is decorate the page however you want and just circle the word that has given you inspiration.
This is 'Sunflower'....
....and this one is 'Rain'.
Please take a look at Eileen's blog where she also has some dictionary art and more information about a page she has set up on Facebook. Please come and join us here and show us some of your work.

If you'd like to leave any comments please do as I read them all.

Happy crafting

House Mouse - All Fired Up

Hi all, another House Mouse card today. This time it is All Fired Up. At first glance I thought it was a bowl of strawberries but Eileen soon put me right on that!!! lol
I coloured with Promarkers as usual and added backing papers from Summer Driggs. I know I keep using these papers but Summer has so many on her blog that she offers for free and they are soooo lovely I've just had to download lots. I needed them all definitely!! lol  I mounted on brown card from my stash and added organza ribbon and card candy.
I'm hoping that over the last 3 days my posts have appeared as I tried scheduling them for a change. Due to working long days on Monday and Tuesday I can then get my blog entry ready over the weekend as sometimes it is quite late when I get home and I dont want to miss a day. It is getting too much of a routine now!!
Please come back soon and enjoy any crafting you do x

House Mouse - No Cheese Please

Today I have another gorgeous House Mouse card for you.
I coloured the image and really did take a long time trying to get the shading right. The good thing about the House Mouse stamps is that the image on the wooden block is coloured so it helps as a guide. I then used some papers from Summer Driggs and mat and layered onto brown card from my stash. I then added some organza ribbon which I coloured to match. I finished off with some card candy. I didnt add a greeting to this card as it could be used as a Thinking of You or Birthday.
Happy crafting, see you soon x
